Business Card Basics and Beyond

Smashingmagazine.com is one of my favorite sites on the web for how-to and creative inspiration. Here's a link to their recent post on business cards. http://tinyurl.com/33j26g9

Lots and lots of really creative approaches to business cards in a huge gallery + tutorials in Illustrator and Photoshop + oodles of templates. If you ain't there already, you ain't nowhere.

Let's talk logos: Here's an archive of adverts (we're about the only country that calls them "ads") from around the world http://adsoftheworld.com/ , aptly named. As is its companion site, that shows logos from around the world. http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/. That last one also has some stock logos, but before you think about using one, remember that stock means generic, means average, means ordinary. You don't want an ordinary logo representing you, do you?

Finally: Here's a link to Six Revision's list of 20 web sites where you can learn Adobe Illustrator. http://tinyurl.com/6m2jx4 isn't the internet grand?
